Little Bit of Laughter

I have to say, I've seen this video dozens of times and it still makes me laugh.  =)  Here's a little joy to start you off on your weekend!

Talk of the Town

Addison just recently started vocalizing (as opposed to just grunting and sighing, which she also still does).  Here's a sample of a vigorous conversation between Momma and Addison.  I'm not sure if she's saying "Merry Christmas" or "My diaper is totes full".  =)

Happy Halloween!

Addison has two Halloween costumes for her first Halloween ever!

Costume #1: Miss Blueberry! (Blueberry flower headband made by Momma to go with blueberry colored onesie!)

Costume #2: T-Mobile SWAG bag! (Daddy's idea of a funny =D )

Have a Happy and Safe Halloween!

And a one, and a two . . .

Call me crazy, but I swear Addison is moving in time to the music.  She looks like a little mini conductor with her Philharmonic Sheepie Mobile Orchestra.  Well, I guess maybe if conductor's used their feet along with their hands to keep their symphony in line.  =)

Wiggly Cuteness

Here's a video (4 min) of little Addison wiggling, giggling, and looking generally cute in her crib with her sheepie mobile playing in the background.  =)

Video skillfully taken by Momma.  Cooing in the background by Daddy.

Week 2: The Many Faces of Addison

Hi everyone! Thanks for signing up for Addison email delivery *ding ding*.  The second week has gone by so fast.  We're just getting into somewhat of a (sleepless) rhythm, also preparing for Jeremy to go back to work next week.  Addison has been enjoying her time exercising her face and making all sorts of weird amusing expressions.

Tepid rah rah-ing of UW Football during a tepid loss to LSU.  Onesie was still way cute though.

We just heard that research shows those smiles at even 2 weeks may be real.  So here's looking at you!

This is Addison's face right before she leaves us a surprise.  It's even cuter in person.  What comes out is less cute.

Addison enjoying her borrowed bassinet.  A lot.  =)

This is Addison worried that these "mitten" things are permanent.

I've caught her laughing a couple times now, but can't tell if they're just a funny breathing style.

Another melt your heart smile for Momma.

Daddy's new office arrangement when working nights at home.

Sleeping peacefully early this morning.  Explosion in 5. . 4. . .3. . .

My Very Own Bo Bo

In chinese, there is a term called Bo Bo.   It means "my little treasure".  For Addison, we found a bunny blanket for her Bo Bo and this video is of us introducing it to her for the very first time.  Too adorable.  =)

Good Morning World!

Here are a few pictures from the first couple days of little Addison's life.  Still trying to get settled into a rhythm, but just thankful for a happy, healthy baby girl.

Hello hello!

So warm. . .

Stop bothering me daddy.

First car ride to the pediatrician's office.

Cute momma and baby waiting for the doc.

So unsuspecting. .

This is apparently the very most comfortable sleeping position.

This is what she looks like the other 99% of the time.

Sleepy sleepy. . .

Skeptical baby is skeptical.

Announcing Miss Addison Seoi-Hei Wu!

Hello, we'd like to introduce you to our very own daughter:

Addison Seoi-Hei Wu

   Seoi Hei Wu
Seoi-Hei means "Outstanding" and "The hope that comes with the dawn" in Chinese
The character Seoi was given to her by Ophelia's Maternal Grandfather and the character Hei was given to her by Addison's Maternal Grandmother.

She also has a second similar Chinese Name (Wu family tradition) that will go into the Wu family geneology book which is:
   Yuen Hei Wu
Yuen-Hei means "New Generation" (this is the character for the 53rd Generation of the Wu Family) and together with Hei means "First Sunrise"

Here's the numbers =)

Born August 28, 2012 at 11:05 AM
8-2-8 means Lots of Money in Chinese (uh oh)
5 lbs 15 ounces
17.5 inches long
APGAR Score: 9 out of 10 (That's an A =D)

She looks a little bit like daddy, and a little bit like momma.
Happy healthy birth. Momma and baby are doing great, just resting peacefully.
Daddy's still trying to figure out how to swaddle her without exposing her little booty.
She's a very good girl, likes to smile at daddy, holds her hands to her face when she sleeps like momma.

Can't wait to go home.  =)

Thanks everyone for your love, support and prayers.

Love,
-Jeremy and Ophelia
